I guess we have been sleeping on the Beauty department at H&M but that is know longer the case. The makeup choice for Arlenis in the H&M Beauty editorial looks amazing. That dark berry lipstick has our names written all over it. The pigment looks great with just the right amount of gloss to it. Can’t wait to try some of H&M’s makeup collection.

More and more organic and “healthy” beauty products are on the rise because of recent discoveries of harmful ingredients in major products. Nevertheless, never assume that just because a product totes itself as being safe that it really is; always do your research before purchasing.
With that said not all mineral makeup products are good for you. There are some that contain a powdered form of titanium dioxide which can be quite dangerous to the body if inhaled. Now when titanium dioxide is in a cream based formed it is much safer because the solid form helps to prevent it from being inhaled. However, when titanium dioxide is inhaled as a powder the effects can be compared to those exposed to asbestos. Yikes!
Many exposed to asbestos for a short period of time are normally okay. Nevertheless, frequent exposure and after some time usually decades later the harmful effects become apparent and some even develop lung cancer. Now let’s that apply that to the using of mineral products with unsafe ingredients. A little exposure may not harm you, but most women apply makeup daily and reapply throughout the day. That is a lot of exposure which could do a lot of damage down the road. So then, always read the ingredients list carefully so that no matter what type of makeup you are purchasing you are protecting yourself and your health.

Nevertheless, when you doing this you never want to go too far or overboard otherwise the ending result will look unnatural. The reason why this trick works so well is because lip pencils allow you to cleanly redefine your lips in a subtle manner.
Create Fullness: Use the lip liner to trace and outline your lips as normal, but create the line a slightly outside your natural lip line. Doing so will give you a larger area to fill making your lips look instantly bigger.
Thin the Pout: Outline your lips using the lip pencil, but instead of following your mouth’s natural outline trace just on the inside. This will give the appearance that a small amount of lip has done a poof magic trick.

Discovering whether you are a warm, cool or neutral undertone will help you purchase cosmetics and couture that truly suit you. This is because you will know what colors are appropriate for your skin type enabling you to truly look your best. Imagine your skin looking more radiant and your eyes more dazzling and all because it is like everything you are wearing was specifically as well as specially made for you.
If seeing is believing or you just happen to be more of a visual person in general there is a simple test that you can perform in order to discover your skin’s undertone. Beauty Answer: Oh girl yes it is perfectly fine! We do not know when it became the “In” thing to dictate when and how a particular tint or shade should be worn. Makeup is all about self expression and enhancing your gorgeous natural features. What happens if your facial structure just seems to pop when wearing darker shades? Are you just supposed to forgo a certain color all season long just because its not deemed a right seasonal tint?
Hopefully you answered a resounding no because dark lipstick is not just for the colder months. To take it a step farther the orange lip showed up on fall/winter runways several seasons back. Yes, orange a very bright, boisterous shade that is usually deemed more of a spring/summer color. Therefore, do not pigeon hole yourself because various shades can be worn all year long.
One last example before we get to some dark lip beauty inspiration. Red lipstick is worn by women regardless whether it is summer, winter, fall or spring. Yet, how many times do we see that red is THE color for spring or THE color for winter. Which is it, what time of year does red look best? Every color looks its best when it is worn by a confident woman who is happily rocking her look. Nevertheless, when a certain color becomes more popular and seen from the runway to the streets, then that is most likely when it will be honored with the trendy tag.

For years women with darker skin tones were fed the beauty myth that they could not wear a nude lip. Why had this been the case? A number of reasons came into play a couple being there wasn’t much on the market in terms of tints that would make for a great nude lip look and also some felt that a lipstick wouldn’t cover a two-toned pucker.
Many women who are considered dark skin possess lips that have two different tones. Usually the upper lip is darker than the bottom lip. However, is this a valid reason to give up the nude lip look or a cop out?
We have said once and we will say it again, dark skin women CAN wear nude lips. When picking the perfect shade there are now plenty of options available to create a fabulous beauty look. Moreover, do not worry yourself with finding a shade that matches your skin perfectly, that is not necessary. Nevertheless, do you really want your lips to seem like they disappeared completely off your face?
Bobbi Brown, MAC and Revlon all have stunning brown shades that make nude lips a cinch. Remember though when it comes to applying nude lipstick your lips need to be pristine. No flakes or dead skin because it WILL show and your lips will have a very bumpy appearance. Always exfoliate your lips, buffing them gently with a toothbrush then apply a lip balm. Your lip shade will go on smoothly making your nude lips that much more alluring!

We just happened to be strolling the Explore page of the gram when we came across tonight’s beauty. Immediately we were taken back by several of her stunning makeup looks. Her style and vibe had a very natural feel to it yet she combined bold elements that only enhanced her radiant looks. So then, for these reasons we had to give home girl a call!
Everyone meet Lauren Nicely, a successful makeup artist who even holds her own classes! We’ ll just get right down to exactly what we liked… everything. From the brows that were simply perfection to her bold eye makeup we wanted every look that she displayed. It was difficult but we narrowed it down to two looks in particular.
1. Bronzed Beauty– If we were a princess needing to be awakened by love’s true kiss we would want Prince Charming to catch us looking like this. The golden orange tones of the eye makeup makes her skin look so lush!
2. Purple Passion– Yasss honey! Purple is so royal and official, the vibrant hue is just so gorgeous to look at. The color pops ensuring that the eyes will be the stars of the night.

It was definitely a night of beauty as celebrities came to celebrate Lancome’s 80th anniversary. Over 1200 attended the lovely affair including Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o who dazzled in shimmery gown. Lupita wasn’t the only starlet in attendance as several glamorous ladies who have had a part in representing the brand came out to show their support.
Apart of the list of brand ambassadors included in the evenings festivities were: Julia Roberts, Penélope Cruz, Kate Winslet, Lupita Nyong’o, Lily Collins, Alma Jodorowsky and Daria Werbowy. Let’s not forget that Lancome is a front runner in the world of beauty so each beauty-lista showed off her own gorgeous makeup look to compliment the night’s French fashion theme. Lupita Nyong’o rocked a bold red lip (Lancôme’s Lips-Liner in Sheer Chocolat), thanks tof make-up artist Nick Barose.
No one does beauty like actress and red carpet stunner Lupita Nyong’o! For over a year Lupita has been the toast of the beauty town and touted as being the new standard of beauty. She has worn some of the most gorgeous looks and we can not stop crushing.
Since it is Wednesday the world designated day to crush on any chick of choice we decided to declare our makeup look love for Lupita. There were just too many beauty moments to choose from but we were able to narrow it down to just 10. Here there are and enjoy!
