Williams who is always about her business has come to LA in order to partake in a new project which is to be led by a former governor of the great state of California. What Comes First- Mascara or Eyeliner?

Beauty Quickie: Let’s pour one out and have a moment of silence for all the beauty habits that we left behind in 2015. Makeup is fun to play with but in order to look as fabulous as a celebrity or an insta-famous chick there is sort of an order of operations to get the best look possible. With this in mind we received a question towards the end of last year that begged insight as to whether what should come first when creating a beauty look, mascara or eyeliner?

To make a long answer really short, mascara should always be applied last. The reasoning behind this according to MUAs is that it is much easier to apply eyeliner when lashes are bare. When eyelashes are still nude the lash line is more visible which in turn helps to achieve a more precise eyeliner design. Moreover, once your eyeliner is beat then you can gauge how much mascara is needed (if any) to complete your look.

Lil Mama’s New Gray Hair Look!

Hip hop artist Lil Mama is back with new music and she has a brand new look to go with it! Lil Mama is no stranger to hair color for the daring diva has even rocked strands brighter than the Emerald City. Nevertheless, Mama’s new recent photoshoot shows her going all granny style and we love it on her.

The gray hair look took the the hair world by storm and is still making believers out of many women the world over. However, as any hair color enthusiast knows that going gray is not exactly simple. Hair that is a naturally a darker tint can literally be fried trying to make the gray dream a reality. This is has not slowed stylists down at all because where there is a wig there is a way!

Celebrity hair stylist, Cynthia Alvarez, worked Lil Mama’s hair magic during the shoot using Pravana hair color. Pravana has gorgeous silver and ash tones available in order to create a stunning gray hair look. Late Night Beauty Call: Fantasia

As soon as we saw this gorgeous photo, all of our jaws dropped clear to the floor! Fantasia, excuse us Mrs. Taylor if you follow her on the gram, looked like a bag of money with eyelashes popping, eyebrows fleeking and lips on one like what! Truth Is we want to steal her look A to the S with an AP.

There was so much to love about this makeup look including how understated it is, yet still manages to exude drama. One thing that can always seem to bring a makeup application down is a lack of blending. However, Fantasia’s makeup was blended to perfection giving her an overall flawless look. Moreover, besides not having a blemish in sight we loved the hints of well-placed highlighter that made her glow like the queen’s Crown Jewels. Whew! Fantasia girl, you better work!

Don’t Apply Foundation Over Concealer

Beauty Quickie: Beauty experts and MUAs agree that us gals are applying our concealer all wrong. When trying to cover up those blemishes or dark under eye circles from the previous night’s festivities it is a girl’s rule of thumb to reach for the concealer. However, applying foundation over concealer basically defeats the purpose of applying concealer in the first place.

When foundation is placed over concealer, the concealer is then thinned out providing less coverage on the area or spot you are aiming to conceal. So then, what is the technique that should be used when making trouble areas less noticeable? After applying foundation you then want to dab concealer over the foundation in any area where you feel hasn’t been completely camouflaged.

Vh1’s Yandy Smith Signs on as Mielle Organics’ First Celebrity Brand Ambassador

Vh1’s Love & Hip Hop Yandy Smith became Mielle Organics’ first celebrity brand ambassador making an announcement via social media after months of trying the products and naming them her “#ProductCrush” via Instagram. Over the course of two months, Smith tried several of the products and chronicled how her hair improved. One of the key improvements Smith mentions is her edges growing back due to the company’s Mint Almond Oil and Babassu Oil and Mint Deep Conditioner.

The reality TV star and the Mielle Organics’ CEO and Founder Monique Rodriguez met after Smith tried the products and gave an impromptu mention via social media. There is not one Instagram famous lady who doesn’t know her way around a tube a glue and a pair of falsies. False eyelashes have definitely come more in vogue due to the birth of the selfie, yet applying as well as getting them to stay in their lane can be a bit tricky. If you would rather avoid looking like a distant cousin of Cruella Deville, here are the 3 most important tips you should keep in mind when applying those falsies!

The Right Fit- Like a pair of jeans if the fit isn’t right you are in for one uncomfortable ride. Always make sure before gluing that the lash strip fits your lash line. Everyone has different eye shapes and lashes right out of the packaging will not always be the correct length. Therefore, it is essential to trim lashes to ensure that the strip does not extend past the outer corners of the lash line.
Wet is bad, Dry is Good- One of the main reasons that falsies come off is because they were applied to lids that were not clean surfaces. This means that concealer and shadow can not be in the way either. Such products can create a barrier between lash strips and the skin causing the adhesive to not work its magic thus making the strips lift. Always ensure that skin is completely dry or free of products that may get in the way of the glue being able to attach the lashes properly.
Less is More- It may be tempting to use more adhesive thinking that more product will equal more strength and staying power, but do not be fooled. Your face is not a 3rd grade science project and all that excess adhesive will most likely look like one big excessive mess. Always dab on a thin layer of glue beginning with the inner corner that will rest the closest to your nose. If you tend to add too much glue when you are free-handing it with the tube of glue, try applying adhesive to the lash strip using a Q-tip. The cotton swab will help to prevent too much adhesive from being applied to the falsies.
