At first glance you notice two familiar faces. A hip hop mogul turned designer and world renown supermodel. Kanye West and Joan Smalls both star in the Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign.

This crisp, dramatic monochromatic campaign is a total 180 from some of the other recent Balmain campaign sightings. For instance, the Resort 2017 ad campaign is lusciously vibrant! From the fashions to the background setting everything just pops.

The Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign though simplistic in a sense still plays on drama. In the shot West seems to be tipping over as Smalls reaches out with all her strength to try to prevent his fast approaching fate.

Olivier Rousteing describes the Fall – Winter campaign as “Music Meets Fashion.” Very fitting since an iconic musician and heavily sought after model were both casted. Moreover, West over the years has turned his attention to couture. Thus, bringing the fusion full circle. Kanye has collaborated with Balmain on Yeezy fashions and it looks like stylish marriage continues on with the addition of the campaign.

Moreover, if that wasn’t enough, you can also kiss old school conversation good-bye while you’re at it. Chats, DMs and texts are the new wave of communication. With this tech dating reality among us you may just wonder, what social media says about your love life?

We’re all doomed! Just kidding, no need to go running out into the streets in full on Godzilla panic just yet. However, taking a closer look at your love life through the lense of social media could still do your relationship some good. These days, we’re all just one meme away from love bliss or detriment.

New studies and research is now frequently being done to understand the inter-workings of social media and the impact it has on human relationships. One recent finding showed that those who clocked more hours than their love on social media made a big difference. Alright girls you can exhale. Their findings? They found that 40 percent of people who engage in using multiple emojis during conversations tend to be more frisky and go on on more dates.

The use of emojis shows that a person is fun, playful and has a sense of humor. Since texting, chats and DMs by themselves can be quite stale. Emojis liven up a convo with the quickness.

Don’t overdo it when it comes to showing off your love. Sappy posts are fine, but it find yourself vomiting out post after post from your cell phone it may be time for self evaluation. Furthermore, researchers also suggest assessing your connection with your love bug as well.

Love is more than a hashtag, photo, like, comment or shoutout. It may be a night about sports but the Espys 2016 couture could not be ignored! We spotted The Wilsons and also The Currys serving up major squad goals on the red carpet. So then, let’s begin with those love birds first.

The Currys looked radiant and we loved that they didn’t do the whole, “Hey, we’re a couple so let’s basically wear the same thing!” They demonstrated their individual style and taste. For instance, Ayesha Curry stunned in a Theia Couture burgundy gown. She did a matchy-matchy makeup look bringing her lip color and dress into perfect harmony. Moreover, Steph Curry stepped out in a bold custom Alba suit. His blue coat had us feeling some type of way.

Furthermore, the couple as a whole chose shades that complimented their skin tone. It’s nice to see them taking risks and playing with color. It definitely paid off!

Oh snap, wait a minute! Is that The Wilsons we see all up in it? Russell Wilson and his spanking new wife Ciara looked fantastic!

Now for many months they have slayed one red carpet event after the other. Actually they have been killing it ever since they started dating. So then, we weren’t surprised to see them looking like a bag of money.

Ciara has been killing it in Roberto Cavalli so she was like, “Well, if it’s not broken.” CiCi wore another Roberto Cavalli design in an alluring pink shade. Russell attended the Espys 2016 event in a well-tailored Tom Ford Suit.

Black on Black

There were a few black on black fashion moments tonight. One actually happened during the show on stage. Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Chris Paul and Mr. Wade rocked head-to-toe noire ensembles. They were making a statement in regards to gun violence and their attire was very appropriate as well as fitting.

Nevertheless, since those handsome four guys aren’t together let’s get back to the couples. Gabrielle Union and her man Dwyane Wade hit the Espys 2016 carpet before the show. Wade shut it down in a blue with black trim Givenchy suit. Union went all black as she strutted her stuff in an August Getty Atelier gown.
