In the midst of Hollywood controversy, the issues regarding diversity took a back seat yesterday evening due to several big wins and stunning displays of Tinseltown’s glamour at the 2016 SAG Awards! Big name actresses and actors gathered in Los Angeles, California at the Shrine Auditorium to honor colleagues for their talents in television as well as film in everything ranging from comedy to drama. It was bring your daughter to work day… Or wait, maybe it was the other way around. Nope, just amazing casting for a new ad campaign for Calvin Klein. Zoe Kravitz and her forever beautiful mother Lisa Bonet are featured in the Calvin Klein 2016 jewelry + watches campaign.

The eye-catching advert captures a lovely mother/daughter moment as the two walk along a beach. Zoe and Lisa are all smiles and are photographed hand in hand. The silver jewelry worn by Kravitz is very modern and neoteric. The CK campaign’s tag line is “Life in the now” and begs the question, what does time mean to you?

The video which accompanies their one page ad shows the pair (Lisa & Zoe) laughing in a gorgeous cinematic way. The video also includes actor Will Peltz and his model girlfriend, Kenya Kinski-Jones along with a plethora of other models living precious Calvin Klein minutes. Supermodel Chanel Iman attended W Mag’s “It Girl” Luncheon this week and she certainly looked the part! Iman dazzled in a two-piece Jamie Lee white pearl and lace off the shoulder ensemble. She accessorized her sultry little number with Jewelmer Joaillerie Pearl earrings from the Charleston collection. However, it was more than just her ethereal attire that caught our eye.

To compliment her stylish couture Chanel Iman wore her strands as a true crown of glory. The genius behind Chanel Iman’s gorgeous mane, Peter Anthony Perez, revealed that the hairstyle included a “texture crown braid.” This elegant hair look works great day or night and is a perfect transitional style for the upcoming spring season.

Keep this style from looking stiff by allowing baby strands as well as wisps of hair to flow freely. We love this hairstyle because it is example of effortless glamour that does not overpower the fashion. They simply compliment each other, just as they should.

Kevin Hart Debuts Nike “Hustle Hart” On Jimmy Fallon

As much as we enjoy Jimmy Fallon performing with The Roots using musical toy instruments; last night’s Kevin Hart fashion moment was pretty cool as well. Hart showed off his kicks which are part of a collaboration with Nike due to be released later this year. At this point of time an exact date of the sneaker release is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, shoe industry experts are pinning a date for the collection for this coming April.

With the release Hart would become the very first actor/comedian/entertainer to ink a deal with Nike. What name has Kevin chosen to give to his shoes? Hart can definitely say that he ‘started from the bottom’ and hustled his way to stardom. Therefore, Kevin Hart’s trainers have been fittingly named, “Hustle Hart.” So far two colors have been showcased for the Nike Hustle Hart, red and blue.

For a project such as this consumer reaction as well as opinion is key. We took to the gram to get an early indication of what potential buyers may be currently thinking. Here are a few comments we gathered:

Mariah Carey Was A “Vision of Love” At UNICEF Ball

The stars definitely took over Los Angeles, California Tuesday night! As the Marie Claire Image Awards got underway in Beverly Hills, other celebrities made their way to The Biennial UNICEF Ball presented by Louis Vuitton. Invitees included Mariah Carey, David Beckham, Heidi Klum and Selena Gomez.

Louis Vuitton and UNICEF have joined forces in order to spread awareness as well as help children that are in urgent need. Mariah Carey and other celebrities in attendance for the gala were invited to make a promise to join the cause. Carey and friends symbolized their promise to help children in need by being photographed performing a pinky promise.

Speaking of performance Mariah Carey also brought the house down performing her hits such as “We Belong Together.” Carey did it all in style as she turned heads in a plunging V-cut floor-length gown with leather and crystal detailing. A beautiful dress for a beautiful woman who honestly looked like she has stopped aging over 20 years ago.

It is about time for the creation of the Image Maker Awards! As they say, behind every glamorous Hollywood star is a rockstar team of people. It takes a village to take a celeb from resting face to red carpet queen. With this in mind Marie Claire is honoring the hardworking Image Makers who beat faces, slay fashions, fleek hair and have us living to look like our favorite shining stars.

Last night, Marie Claire embarked upon their first ever Image Maker Awards which was held in swanky Beverly Hills, California at the Chateau Marmont. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o as well as How to Catch a Murderer actress Aja Naomi King were both in attendance for the festivities. The ladies looked stunningly gorgeous in their bold tinted frocks.

Lupita had a very special duty to carry out during the Marie Claire Image Maker Awards ceremony. She was tapped to present an Image Maker Award to her very own personal stylist, Micaela Erlanger. Nyong’o took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the honor stating,

“After all the times she’s gotten me ready for the awards, it’s Micaela’s turn to receive one! Congratulations.”

As soon as Michelle Obama made her debut the fashion conscious took to social media discussing the tint of Obama’s ensemble. Some thought apricot but the Sleeveless Banded-Bodice Midi Dress was actually in Marigold. Good guesses though everyone!
