You may ask why wear denim why not have a march or a parade to discuss this issue? Well here is the history behind it. Denim Day was conceived from a 1999 court ruling. The Italian High Court overturned a rape conviction, arguing that because the victim was wearing tight jeans during her assault, she must have been conferring consent.
