In an instagram world where brows must be the epitome of perfection, Prada chose to go a little different route. Prada’s beauty look for spring/summer 2015 incorporated the disheveled brow. This unkempt look had emphasis more on just the outline of the brow instead of the full on cha-bang. The disheveled brow is like the beauty nod to the messy, bed-head look proving that you don’t always have to be absolutely perfect to be considered beautiful.

Get the Look: Jourdan Dunn Spring/Summer 2015 Burberry Lips

No doubt you have probably already fashionably feasted on the Burberry ad campaign featuring the lovely Jourdan Dunn. Here at 1966 we are always on the lookout out for more and more lip colors. We loved the the light, airy yet demure tint of Dunn’s editorial pout. For the campaign Jourdan rocked Lip Cover in Devon Sunset No.28 with the color being spread across her lips then applied more intensely right in the center of her mouth. The result was absolutely fab!

We have talked a lot about the use of natural products when it comes to skin as well as haircare. There is a reason why our grannies used shea butter and passed the torch and beauty tip down to us. Shea butter is an all natural product that comes with numerous benefits.

Shea Butter has natural antibacterial properties that make it great for preventing stretch marks, wound healing and it can also be used as an anti-aging treatment for skin. With so many products on the market right now that are chalk full of chemicals that can irritate our skin, shea butter is a refreshing alternative. Can Senait Gidey get anymore beautiful?! Apparently, the answer is yes… Gidey is featured this month in a beauty editorial for ELLE Canada. Senait does not roll solo in the spread she is joined by model Dauphine. The jaw-dropping makeup was handled by MUA Lloyd Simmonds and photographer Owen Bruce lensed the shoot. The editorial increases the drama going from a natural face to bold eye color and even a smoking dark lip.

Beauty Quickie: Mascara should only be found on your eyelashes but it always seems to find its way elsewhere i.e. on eyelids and the under eye area. Prevent this by making sure your mascara is set and dry. Set mascara by using the cool setting on your hair dryer and give lashes a quick blast of air.
