Everyone brought their style A-Game to dine with the Obamas at this year’s White House Correspondents dinner. There seemed to be several fashion trends spotted during the night. Therefore, without further ado here is our fashion recap of the White House Correspondents Dinner!

Color played a huge fashion role at the WHCD. Black was a major hit among several starlets. Wearers included: Actresses Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union, Rosario Dawson, Tracee-Ellis Ross as well as Actress/Reality star Nene Leakes. Although, length also played a key factor with floor-length gowns dominating the red carpet. Kerry Washington kept her LBD (Little Black Dress) around knee length. The black dresses seen were not a one note either. Intricate detailing, high splits and sexy cut-outs gave the noire gowns sophisticated and sexy allure.

Bold Color was also trending this year at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Attendees that dared to rock a boisterous tint included: La La Anthony, supermodel Lais Ribiero, actress Jada Pinkett Smith and Gayle King. An ethereal hue to wear during the spring season is any shade of white. Stunning actresses Regina King and Vivica A. Fox both demonstrated how to turn heads in white couture.

Tamron Hall took things up a further notch in the realm of color. Besides her gown being a gorgeous gold tint it was full of sparkle and glimmering grandeur! Hall gave us retro Hollywood glamour and we loved it.

One sleeve gowns as well as plunging necklines were also a trend among the ladies. Both style details gave the stars sassy appeal. Kudos to the stylists and well done ladies you looked great!

Tia Becca has some of the most beautiful luminous skin seen within the industry. The camera absolutely loves her. How does she stay glowing and looking so fly?

Like many other celebrities, Tia Becca sticks to a skincare regimen. Consistency, avoiding damage and good products will help a gal look glamorous enough for her close up. Tia Becca is always very open to her fans and recently took time to show how she achieves her glow up on the daily. Her skincare must-haves came down to three basic elements:

With the help of her Snapchat and other social media platforms Tia Becca shared a photograph displaying her very own beauty cocktail. Recently, one major style was spotted on three glamorous starlets: Zendaya, Tika Sumpter and Aja King.

Zendaya, Tika Sumpter and Aja King enjoyed a luncheon together hosted by Zendaya herself and Glamour mag. The dynamic trio all wore the 2016 black hair trend gorgeously and as if they had sent out a memo to each other first! Whether by intention or not all stunning ladies came rocking sleek braids.

In the past braided trends included a looser feel. However, 2016 braids are all about precision. Neat and sleek execution is what’s trending.

Prince was a genius. He made music that has stood the test of time transcending generations and changes in styles of music. He made Doves Cry, threw the best party of 1999 and had us all heralding the dance cry, “Let’s Go Crazy!” There are many ways to look back on his extraordinary legacy; nevertheless, we would be honored to present to you a few of the many iconic Prince trends that will never be forgotten.

Ruffles:

Eat your heart out Captain Jack Sparrow! Long before the Cap, Prince made ruffles of Mozart’s era look modern and cool. His shirts shall live in infamy, for not just any man could possess the je ne sais quoi to pull this particular garment off.

The Color Purple:

We all loved the song that incorporated this royal shade, but we all loved it more when Prince would allow it to be draped upon him. If there was one tint that this legend owned better than any other artist it would be purple.

Exaggerated Collars:

Iconic Prince fashion trends would not be complete without making reference to his prominent shirt collars. Prince enjoyed boisterous couture. His stature may have been a mere 5’2 but his style choices were larger than life.

Stripes with polka dots? No problem! Such a feat may be a styling nightmare for some, however, for Prince it was a walk in the park.

Chanel Iman Attends Schutz Shoes LA Store Pre-Opening

If it started raining heels from the heavens instead of water droplets we wouldn’t exactly complain. It would be odd, but still a nice trade-off. When you are a shoe-a-holic like us there can never be enough shops around to get your shoe game strong. Fortunately, the natives of Los Angeles have a brand new store to help scratch their fashion itch. Schutz Shoes celebrated the opening of their Los Angeles boutique with plenty of supermodel fan fair which included an appearance by the beautiful, Chanel Iman who wore a stylish pair of heels by Schutz of course!

It was a packed house at the Scultz 314 Beverly Drive opening. Major fashion influencers filed in and the shoe-licious party got started! Iman was in very good company at the Schutz Shoes L.A. pre-opening soiree. She celebrated the brand’s new location along with models Alexandria Ambrosio and Olivia Palermo.

Chanel Iman’s entire outfit was a hit, but our eyes kept slipping downward towards her fashionable shoe wear. Iman wore Schutz Shoes Juliana High Heel Caged Sandals. We are still obsessed with Rihanna’s Coachella attire, but hey the first step is admittance right? There were so many awesome aspects of Rihanna’s outfit for the popular annual music festival that we will do our best to break it all down. First off, we want to give it up one time for all the bling factor that RiRi had going on. She truly was shining bright like a diamond as she partied the night away with Oscars’ winner, Leonardo DiCaprio. One fabulous piece of style greatness that we are still obsessed with is Rihanna’s Coachella 2016 Spring Gucci Sunglasses.

When your career is red hot why shouldn’t a girl literally look like a shining star? For weeks we had been seeing Gucci’s spring eyewear and one pair took us by fashion storm. Mainly because we are such suckers for anything bedazzled. Therefore, an accessory with a rhinestone factor would definitely do it for us. Moreover, Rihanna’s Coachella 2016 Spring Gucci Sunglasses are for the girl who WANTS to be seen. For the girl who’s bold, a style risk-taker and comes alive at night. If that’s you then you really need these shades.

Today, April 19th, marked the official release date of the new styles that make up the long-waited Rihanna x Stance new summer collection volume deux. The ad campaign for the looks have a chic retro vibe. Rihanna and her girls rock pin curls with pin-up doll inspired fashions.

The Rihanna x Stance collab includes all shapes of socks as well as various colors. The socks are not all identical one notes. From ankle length all the way to mid-thigh you can find a sock that suits your mood. Moreover, we adore the sheer and see-through elements of some of the socks. Pure sexiness if you ask us!

2016 Coachella Hair and Style Recap

Music festival season always bring out the best in hair and style trends. During this past weekend the 2016 Coachella crowd proved the truthfulness of this stylish fact. We spotted so many starlets that we try our best to highlight as many fabulous looks as possible. Kick off those heels, relax and enjoy our 2016 Coachella hair and style recap!

Chanel Iman: With her twisted back flowing locks of hair, one of her several looks had us in designer heaven. She wore Roberto Cavalli snake print pants, Stevie Chiffon Wrap Top by Stoned Immaculate, Isabel Murant suede ankle boots and belt by Child of Wild. Oh baby!

Chanel was also spotted with actress Vanessa Hudgens having fun with Forever 21.

Jasmine Tookes: The 90’s were definitely back with Tookes rocking short-shorts, tied up shirt and a choker. Besides her great fashion we took note of her hair. She wore her hair nice and chic in a hat as well scarf. Work!

Ugh… so supermodel fab! The scarf look is great for those pesky spring and summer bad hair days.

Kat Graham: Hats and Coachella are like peas and carrots. They just go together. Kat joined the hat game as she wore a black number with her floral frock. Simple, cute and totally nailing 2016 Coachella vibes!

Jhene Aiko & Karreuche Tran: These two lovelies shall haunt our Snapchat dreams…and we’re absolutely okay with that. Thanks to a deep side part and platinum hair color these two dolls had our focus on their tresses just as much as their gorgeous faces.

Amandla Stenberg: Can this girl get any cooler? Amandla always leads the pack when it comes to trendy natural hairstyles. For Coachella the cutie pie made us swoon over twisted knots. Moreover, Stenberg perfectly demonstrated how to were accessories without them overpowering each other. She wore hoop earrings, septum ring and a choker. Nicely done!

VicStyles & Justine Skye: These two can definitely hold their own when it comes to style. Nonetheless, we matched up together because they were part of the 2016 Coachella “Braid-y Bunch.” Same hairstyle just with their own finesse. Justine adorned her’s with interlocking ribbons and VicStyles slayed with an edgy, sophisticated hat.
