Facebook Reactions Ends Awkward Social Moments

Facebook Reactions were released today and it marked the end of awkward social moments experienced on FB. Long gone is the indecision or thought process, “Should I like that?” If you ever felt weirded out liking a post regarding Aunt Edna’s passing or Fluff Fluff going to puppy heaven you can now rest at ease. Facebook Reactions has completely changed the social media game. That is, if you still even possess and use a FB account.

With the rise of Instagram and Snapchat it’s nice to see Facebook try to make interaction on FB more interesting again. Facebook Reactions are animated emojis that can be used instead of a thumbs up. How can you access them? If you’re on a desktop simply hover over the Like button with your pointer and they’ll pop up. However, like 90% of the rest of the world you’re most likely going to be mobile. In this case take that finger of yours and press/hold the Like button until the animations appear.

User reaction to Facebook Reactions has been mostly positive. However, some still felt slightly jilted. Hey Facebook where is the Dislike option?! That would be fun and potentially dangerous, but hey isn’t social media supposed to be a form of entertainment anyway?

Mark Zuckerberg released a statement to explain the move to add the animated emojis. You may feel free to check it out below as well as our other informative post on this site (wink,wink). Zuckerberg said:

“Today is our worldwide launch of Reactions — the new Like button with more ways to express yourself.

Not every moment you want to share is happy. Sometimes you want to share something sad or frustrating. Our community has been asking for a dislike button for years, but not because people want to tell friends they don’t like their posts. People wanted to express empathy and make it comfortable to share a wider range of emotions.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the right way to do this with our team. One of my goals was to make it as simple as pressing and holding the Like button.

The result is Reactions, which allow you to express love, laughter, surprise, sadness or anger.

Love is the most popular reaction so far, which feels about right to me!”

So did you catch what 6 emotions you can display? As a recap they are: Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry. There you have it. Now go enjoy not being awkward… unless you just enjoy that type of thing.

CHI Haircare Real Is Beautiful Campaign With Zendaya

Chi Haircare has just released a new ad campaign featuring one our faves Zendaya Coleman! The campaign aims to help girls to embrace their real individual beauty. As part of the #RealIsBeautiful campaign Zendaya shares her style and beauty tips. Zendaya makes a wonderful spokeswoman for the CHI Haircare brand since she does always keep it 100.

Just how real does Zendaya keep it? Well, in the past she stood up to remarks made in regards to her wearing dreads at a red carpet event. The result? Recanting of statements made and Zendaya heralded in the form of a Barbie doll, dreads and all. Coleman’s outspokenness to be comfortable and confident in your own skin has resonated with young girls the world over.

CHI Haircare is added fuel to the inspiration fire by supporting realism. The brand’s Gram profile even mentions that they just don’t want your hair to look beautiful, they want you to feel beautiful too. What a nice thought!

Keke & Serayah Attend Vanity Fair and Fiat Young Hollywood Celebration

We spotted two dimes at the Vanity Fair and Fiat Young Hollywood Celebration. Actresses Keke Palmer and Empire’s Serayah made appearances at the fabulous celebrity soirée. Young Hollywood doesn’t always get the love that they deserve but these starlets showed just why they are worthy of the flashing lights.

Starting with gorgeous Serayah who’s style game is always on point. Really should we expect any less from a member of Instagram’s hottest squad? For the Vanity Fair and Fiat Young Hollywood Celebration Serayah slayed in a dress designed by Vivienne Westwood accompanied with heels by Cesare Pacotti. She further accessorized her ensemble with a clutch by Emm Kuo.

Keke Palmer also brought it in a chic yet more laid back outfit. Palmer paired a red button down shirt with tie-waist culottes. We always salute fashionistas who take risks because that is what fashion is all about. To wear those bottoms you definitely have to be daring!

Furry Nails Spotted at Libertine F/W 2016

During a fashion show everything is scrutinized right down to the smallest details. It’s not just about fashion but the overall look. As a model walks the catwalk the cameras can be unforgiving. Therefore, it’s important that designers make a statement and create a show that is unforgettable. Libertine’s Fall/Winter 2016 runway show did not disappoint and had us all like, “Wait was that furry nails?”

Nail addicts feast your eyes on one of the oddest yet daring nail trends for 2016. If you are a fan of MTV’s Teen Wolf you are probably jumping for joy. Your eyes are not failing you, you are in fact seeing Libertine models with furry nails.

Nail designs have evolved quite a bit over the past few years. Bling, chains and illustrative details have been faves. However, for awhile it has been more about nail shape. Who of us can forget the strong pointy long nail trend that had us rethinking the use of tampons? Nevertheless, admit it or not furry nails have a slight fun, majestic feel to them. If you don’t take it as something you would rock daily it could be a cute one night nail look that you simply do for the Gram and Tumblr.

So if you want the furry nails look how do you create them? The co-founder of CND nail polish, Jan Arnold, and the CND team painted model’s nails with Vinylux Weekly Polish in Cream Puff (cute, love the name) and Rubble. Next, faux fur was securely attached to each nail using the Super Shiny High-Gloss Top Coat. Boom! That’s how you get this creative nail look.

We all have heard the expression, “I get better with age.” No woman has proven that more than Angela Bassett! Throughout the years Bassett has changed up her style and her beauty has never faded. From head-to-toe she has and will always be a knockout. So far this year Angela has continued to slay the red carpet. Here are a few 2016 black hair trends we spotted on Angela.

With another number one album under her belt, Rihanna continues to rule the music world. Her fashion prowess has not dimmed either, being that she just showed her Fenty x Puma collection during New York Fashion Week. As the Creative Director Rihanna has much influence in design. On the heels of her successive showing in NYFW comes news of a new shoe, Trainer by Fenty.

Anyone remember the Puma Creeper? Well, you might if you were able to get your hands on a pair. The Creeper sold out almost instantly and the shoe world is gearing up for another hit from the Fenty x Puma camp. In regards to the Trainer by Fenty, Puma took to Instagram stating that the shoe is,

“Designed to draw attention, push boundaries, and change the game. Designed by [Rihanna]. Introducing the Trainer by Fenty. Available 2.26.”

We always enjoy getting fan reactions to big announcements. We find it is a way to gauge potential success and get some realism on the subject at hand. Here is what people are saying about the Trainer by Fenty ad campaign:

We have loved Brittanie Evans whether she is drawing a masterpiece or showing how she transforms into Black Barbie. One of her latest fun hair color looks involves two very bold tints, orange and pink. Normally, we would never think that orange and pink hair could look fabulous together. However, Brittanie Evans has made us believers and she even revealed how she achieved this bold hairstyle! Brittanie explained,

“I’m wearing 4 bundles of The Vanity Box brazilian wavy extensions cut into a bob. This hairstyle only took a few hours to achieve. I used two boxes of SPLAT platinum blonde to lift the color (The Vanity Box hair colors very well). Then [I] went over it with a pink and orange semi-permanent hair dye from ADORE. The hair was curled with my PYT Hair Bombshell curling wand. Voila!”

What a total doll! Plus, she definitely knows how to dye some hair. Therefore, if you are looking for some inspiration to add some splash to your strands Brittanie Evans multi-colored bob is a good choice.

The 2016 Grammys saw many hair trends come to the fore, one of our favorites was worn by songstress, Ciara. Ciara walked the red carpet with her handsome BF, Russell Wilson, in a daring gown by Alexandre Vauthier. To accompany her 2016 Grammys look, Ciara kept her hair simple with a low ponytail.

Some gals tend to shy away from wearing a ponytail because they feel that the hairstyle can be a little dull at times. Nevertheless, Ciara’s take on the low ponytail shows that drama can be created by adding just a few touches.

Kaylan Mahomes Breaks Internet With Family Pic

If you ever need evidence or proof that “black does not crack;” last week you got it. An Indianapolis teen posted a photo on Twitter that broke the Internet. Thousands weighed in on a family picture posted by Kaylan Mahomes. The photo was taken in a car with a caption asking all to figure out who was Kaylan Mahomes, her mother and her twin. However, there was one small problem. All three ladies looked like they could be sisters!

It wasn’t just the fact that all three women were similar in appearance, they also looked to be the same age. The photo went on to be tweeted over 20,000 times. Such Internet and social media hysteria hadn’t been seen since “The Dress” of 2015. The dress photo that emerged a year ago had numerous people seeing a garment in different colors.

Nevertheless, Kaylan Mahomes’ photo had people searching and focusing on the tiniest of clues in order to figure out the answer. The ladies kept the fun going by also posting an additional video. Tweeters begged and pleaded for an answer and they finally got it. SPOILER: DO NOT KEEP READING IF DO NOT WANT THE ANSWER.

After some time Kaylan Mahomes finally came clean and revealed the answer. Kaylan revealed she was on the far right, her mother was on the left, leaving her twin sister to be the beauty in the middle. It was also revealed that Kaylan as well as her twin are 16 and their mother is 35. This squashed the rumor that Mahome’s mother was 13 when she had her gorgeous girls. Moreover, other than being a fun picture game this showed that yes black does not crack!
