OBSESSION: NYFW Vera Wang Round Frame Sunglasses

OBSESSION: NYFW Vera Wang Round Frame Sunglasses

There was so much to love about Vera Wang’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The tailoring was off the charts. The designs read fierce and chic. Nevertheless, one pair of sunnies had us in love at first glance. Today’s obsession, the NYFW Vera Wang Round Frame Sunglasses.

Ugh, could Vera Wang just hand us an oxygen mask because she is giving us life! These glasses just simply stood out. Even coming down the runway your eyes just instantly dart to them.

The magnetic pull to these shades only increased once we noticed they come in multiple tints. The straight up black ones has us craving a leather jacket and cigarette. Hence, they’re edgy as all get out.

Nevertheless, the silver-tone version gave us futuristic vibes but with a retro grunge twist. However, you slice and dice these NYFW Vera Wang Round Frame sunglasses are a must-have. We spent the night hunting them down till we found them on Farfetch! These chic babies retail for $405 and can be shopped now. Oh! First time ordering on Farfetch.com? Get Your Man Right: Versace S/S 17

Get Your Man Right: Versace S/S 17

It’s been pretty much unanimous, but the verdict is in… men are not big fans of the “man purse.” Most gentlemen never have to worry about hauling their valuables because unlike women’s clothing theirs often comes with pockets or other nifty compartments. On the real though, what really are guys carrying besides car keys, a wallet with pertinent identification and a Carmex Chapstick? Well, on the occasion they are jet-setting or carrying something larger than a pair of shades it is still possible for them to do so chicly. Versace pulled out all the stops in men’s fashion for the Versace SS 17 runway show and proved that a man bag can still look studly and totally amazing.

Versace SS 17

There were so many highlights during the high-end fashion show but one item that stood out to us was the Versace Empire Bag. Able to be carried with the same authority as a briefcase yet with much more real estate (room). Plus, the tint of the bag truly is key. Any guy who struggles with color coordination would not need to fear the Versace SS 17 Empire Bag. Thanks to its neutral color it will match well with a variety of ensembles.

Get Your Man Right: Versace S/S 17-2

Let’s quickly review the rest of the outfit that accompanied the Empire bag. Two words: The Trench. One classic staple that should be found in every guys wardrobe is a trench coat. Any color that suits his personal style but black or camel toned trenchcoats always look trendy. In such a coat a guy can go from looking like a couch potato to “Yes, I am ready to meet the parentals.”

Beauty Insider: Akris Graphic Lines Eye Makeup

Beauty Insider: Akris Graphic Lines Eye Makeup

We recently spotted an interesting beauty trend fresh from the runway. This particular beauty look proves that sometimes it is the most simple makeup that can have the most dramatic effect. Simplicity is defined as freedom from complexity, intricacy, or division into parts. Case in point, the graphic lines eye makeup look created by Diane Kendal for Akris Fall/Winter 2016-2017 fashion show.

Models were treated to a futuristic beauty  look that incorporated distinct and precise lines. The graphic lines eye makeup looks varied with some lines floating right above the lids, while others completely surrounded and sectioned off the eye by following the bridge of the nose on up right below the eyebrow.

Can this look translate into everyday wear? Of course, runway shows always have a bit of fantasy attached to them, however, just like the fashions themselves the beauty aspects can be toned down for ready-to-wear options too. We suggest sticking to the single line right below the brows. This eye makeup may not be appropriate for school or work, but is perfect for a night out with friends.

Marc Jacobs A/W 16 Seductive Finger Waves

Marc Jacobs A/W 16 Seductive Finger Waves

We are still lusting after the alluring hair seen at the Marc Jacobs A/W 16 fashion show. For the their strut down the catwalk model’s strands were fashioned into finger waves. It was enough to make any Flapper livid with jealousy.

The model’s hair were molded into different versions of the same style. Some ladies had ‘traditional’ wavy locks with all tresses up, while others had strands in the back left to hang loosely. We even noticed waves being created on very short natural hair. The common denominator was the sparkly glitter added throughout the hairstyle.

The marriage of vintage and modern clothing was beautiful. Finger waves are definitely a hairstyle that can not be ignored. Yet, the style added an edgy, goth sophistication to the overall look of the designs. All without stealing away the spotlight from the real stars… the couture.

The Marc Jacobs A/W 16 show was hauntingly gorgeous to say the very least. From the chime music to the fur, lace, glittering prints, big bows, feathers, long hand gloves, flowing gowns and metallic detailing our style cup runneth over! From start to finish your eyes never dart away from the runway. Here is the show in its entirety to enjoy:

Furry Nails Spotted at Libertine F/W 2016

Furry Nails Spotted at Libertine F/W 2016

During a fashion show everything is scrutinized right down to the smallest details. It’s not just about fashion but the overall look. As a model walks the catwalk the cameras can be unforgiving. Therefore, it’s important that designers make a statement and create a show that is unforgettable. Libertine’s Fall/Winter 2016 runway show did not disappoint and had us all like, “Wait was that furry nails?”

Nail addicts feast your eyes on one of the oddest yet daring nail trends for 2016. If you are a fan of MTV’s Teen Wolf you are probably jumping for joy. Your eyes are not failing you, you are in fact seeing Libertine models with furry nails.

Nail designs have evolved quite a bit over the past few years. Bling, chains and illustrative details have been faves. However, for awhile it has been more about nail shape. Who of us can forget the strong pointy long nail trend that had us rethinking the use of tampons? Nevertheless, admit it or not furry nails have a slight fun, majestic feel to them. If you don’t take it as something you would rock daily it could be a cute one night nail look that you simply do for the Gram and Tumblr.

Furry Nails Spotted at Libertine F/W 2016-2

So if you want the furry nails look how do you create them? The co-founder of CND nail polish, Jan Arnold, and the CND team painted model’s nails with Vinylux Weekly Polish in Cream Puff (cute, love the name) and Rubble. Next, faux fur was securely attached to each nail using the Super Shiny High-Gloss Top Coat. Boom! That’s how you get this creative nail look.

Pantone’s 2016 Colors Of The Year

Pantone's 2016 Colors Of The Year2

No ladies, your eyes did not fail you as you perused the title of this post. History has been made when it comes to next year’s selection of shades to envy and place on trend. As any beauty maven or fashionista knows normally one shade is chosen but next year two shall reign supreme.

Therefore, what are the two tints that we need to go out and grab? Pantone has selected Serenity which is a pretty, ethereal light blue as well as Rose Quartz which is a delicate light pink. We foresee both colors being a major hit during spring when fresh color is often much appreciated and considered en vogue.

Here is a closer look at the two shades courtesy of Pantone:

The color of palette of the two tints are extremely complimentary of each other. Nevertheless, here is why the pair of colors were chosen out of the entire spectrum:

Although not outrageously bold both colors can still take a style up a few notches. These colors work for day or night and can be versatile for dressing up or down. With such ease ensembles for 2016 will be a cinch.

Supermodel Sharim Diniz Attends Balmain for H&M Fashion Show

Supermodel Sharim Diniz Attends Balmain for H&M Fashion Show

23 Wall St. of New York City was the biggest style party of night thanks to the arrival of Oliver Rousteing’s Balmain army. Some of the biggest names in the modeling world came out to stomp the runway in the Balmain for H&M collection show highlighting designer fashions that are more “affordable” for the average fashionista. What exactly does affordable mean in relation to the BalmainxHM collection?

Keeping it totally 100, the high-end collaboration contains designs well over the $500 mark, however, do not despair if your dream is to own a Balmain creation even if the wallet isn’t as fat right now. Every last piece of collection will be available for sale beginning on November 5th and will include several pieces under $100! So then, even though this dreamy match up between Balmain and H&M is not the cheapest collab we have seen from H&M there are still plenty of styles available that will not completely break the bank.

Supermodel Sharim Diniz Attends Balmain for H&M Fashion Show2

Nevertheless, besides world renown beauties strutting their stuff down the catwalk there were plenty of stunners sitting right in the audience partaking of the show. One being the drop dead, I Wanna Hate On You But I Love Your Style SoFreakin’ Much, Sharim Diniz. Sharim looked too beautiful for words in a yellow Balmain dress as she supported her dear friend Oliver. Diniz took to social media during show stating,

“Supporting my favorite designer from all times Oliver Rousteing…”

“THE BEST SHOW EVER <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 CONGRATS OLI!”

Her sentiments rang true right along with several other celebs who felt the show was very successful as well. The only part of the night that broke our hearts is seeing The Backstreet Boys being inducted into the Balmain squad. Nothing against the boys, it’s just that we are NSYNC fans (LOL), but in the spirit of fashion we are willing to let it go.
