Morning Thoughts: Best Edge Control Tip

Best Edge Control Tip

Having a hard time with those edges? Trying to get those unruly baby hairs to stay laid? Not all hairs respond the same and also sometimes you need a little extra help to look like Chili from TLC or FKA Twigs. Therefore, today’s Morning Thoughts is on the Best Edge Control Tip to help your strands finally behave! It happens, but trust they can be put into submission.

Best Edge Control Tip

The right products can make all the difference. Sometimes using only gel is not the key. In today’s video I quickly talk about that and the real trick to baby hair training and laying.

Best Edge Control Tip- Last Words

Here is a closer look at one of products that I mention in the video. It is called Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Coconut Curling Cream. This cream not only gives your hair much needed moisture, but strengthens and defines too. That is perfect because you are getting several functions out of one product.

Hair Journey: Black Hair Doesn’t Grow

Hair Journey Black Hair Doesn't Grow

The one thing as a young black woman that you have probably heard or are currently hearing is… don’t cut your hair, it may not grow back. It is a wide spread notion that black hair simply does not grow or if you do have length and you lose it that its gone forever. There is one thing that I have discovered throughout my continuous hair journey and that is everything you know about black hair is a myth.

You don’t need a perm or chemicals to control your tresses. It is not necessary to do a big chop when growing out a relaxer. Moreover, if you want longer hair it is achievable. Black hair DOES grow and it IS amazing and gorgeous.

I have grown my hair out four times, down to my waist. From my YouTube videos many have asked me how I did it and I am happy to share tips I have picked up that may work for you too. I think thanks to the creation of social platforms black girls are finally able to gain knowledge on how to really work their beautiful strands. Knowledge is power and the more we share with each other the more growth we will experience in not just our hair but in all aspects of life.

Thoughts? I’m always all ears:)

Love,

Arianne

Lookbook: The Red Dress

Lookbook The Red Dress

Bright, bold colors are great to go along with spring’s festive and vibrant vibe. Birds are singing, flowers are blossoming which encourages styles that are airy and relaxed. However, whenever I want to punch things up a bit I stay in the realm of bold shades and opt for red. Red is sassy and fun and looks great on a wide range of skin tones.

I paired my red dress with gold accessories, including a bracelet and snake head heels. Since the color is boisterous tons of accessories are not really necessary. So then, have fun with your fashion and don’t be afraid to add some vibrancy to your look.

Love Always,

Arianne

DVF Season Finale Viewing

We had an amazing night cheering on our favorite cast member for this season’s search for who will be the global ambassador for Diane von Furstenberg. Brittany Hampton ultimately took home the win and admittedthat it was a hard secret to keep due to being apart of a large family. Hampton looks forward to her new role and fitting in with the Furstenberg brand family. Our fashions for the night included jumpsuits, sleek hair and heels.

1966 Magazine Editors Fall Fashion 2014

Happy Thursday ladies we are almost to the weekend! To get over this last mid-week hump let’s talk some fall/winter fashion. So then, what do we like to wear when the temperature is on chill status?

Alicia: Can I get a sweater please? (laughter)

Arianne: Wave them in the air! (laughs)

Alicia: Exactly… I always enjoy wearing a sweater with a cute print or design. I find it takes the guesswork out of putting together an outfit in the mornings. I simply grab one of my sweaters and pair it with jeans, a neutral top as well as ankle boot heels and I’m out the door.

Arianne: I’m addicted to fur, faux of course, I love all animals. Nevertheless, I love fur vests, especially the ones with belts or ties so that my shape doesn’t get lost because I can emphasize a waistline.
