O to the M with a capital G! We are such suckers for unique creativity. Coco and Breezy Eyewear never fails to fill our stylish cups to the brim. Recently, Jaden Smith was in attendance for Harry Hudson’s debut performance in a fabulous pair of Coco and Breezy Tres Sunglasses.

Let it spring, let it spring, let it spring! Are you enjoying the season? It is the time of year to try out new trends and new looks that may not require a heavy coat. As things continue to dry and blossom some handy styles are coming to the fore. One cool look we are currently obsessing over is an all-white garment that has all the detailing a fashionista could want, the Jardin Lace Jumpsuit by Line and Dot!

White tinted fashions are like LBDs, you need at least one in your wardrobe. Moreover, do you like fashion that is easy to style? The jumpsuit is a chic piece that can be dressed up or down. Go causal with flats or go nighttime glam with a pair of heels. Add a matching bag and you are all set to walk right out your door.

We are currently adoring the white jumpsuit we spotted on model and blogger, Natasha Ndlouv. Natasha wore the Jardin Lace Jumpsuit by couture brand, Line and Dot. The Jardin Lace Jumpsuit is a total spring dream. Even though it is long-sleeved with full length pants it incorporates a few sassy elements. Geometrical cut-outs in a zig-zag pattern adorn the top portion of the jumpsuit and the flair does not just stop there. The Line and Dot jumpsuit also has a deep V-cut design on the backside that ties together thanks to thin twisted ropes with tassles.

Trust us, seven words… Saint Laurent 100 Lou 48mm Retro Sunglasses. Living here in sunny Los Angeles we are as tied to our sunglasses as we are our smartphones, In-N-Out or vegan food. You know whatever one floats your boat. We have our ways and our fashion choices fall in line with them. We wake up to the sun shining in our eyes and even after it sets our attiude reflects a pop song from the 80’s; we “wear our sunglasses at night.” It is a necessary part of life so we Californians pretty much consider ourselves to be Sunglasses-Connoisseurs. Whatever is fresh, modern and trendy we are most likely a credit card swipe away from sliding them over our peepers.

Therefore, what is cool look for this season? Studded fashions have been everywhere so far this year. Jackets, belts and shoe-wear have all received the studded touch. Now the lovely three-dimensional detailing have found their way on yet another chic accessory.

We spotted model, Ajak Deng, wearing a brand new design by YSL aka Saint Laurent in celebration of it finally being the weekend. She posted several pics of herself while relaxing at a spa wearing her designer shades stating, “happy Friyaaaayyyyy.” She wore a pair of studded black sunnies known as Saint Laurent 100 Lou 48mm Retro Sunglasses as previously mentioned. Liya Kebede and Imaan Hammam For Vogue Italia April 2016

Iconic photographer Patrick Marchelier has once more created a stunning editorial for the Vogue Italia April 2016 edition. Color can be the spice of life, however, there is something majestic about classic, sophisticated black and white imagery. For the Vogue Italia April 2016 issue three models serve up a slice of visual heaven. Imaan Hammam, Liya Kebede and Gigi Hadid are all featured in the gorgeous shoot.

We especially enjoyed the stylized moody essence of the editorial. Each model displays a dark, somber yet beautiful pose that spotlights their individual glamour. The effortless and ease of their positions has a seductive, magnetic appeal. The Vogue Italia April 2016 “Individuallure” editorial by Marchelier is a come-hither masterpiece that is enchantingly captivating.

Besides, the models themselves, the fashions displayed are just as engaging. Liya, Imaan and Gigi all wear designs by Valentino. The couture proves that subtlety and simplicity can still be a very dramatic style presentation. Nevertheless, their ensembles were given extra flair thanks to bold statement jewelry.

They wore different hairstyles that could be described as “simple.” Liya’s tresses were elegantly pulled back, while Imaan and Gigi wore high chignons with wispy strands of hair flowing lightly around the hairline as well as the chignon itself.

Beauty Notes: Three words… less is more. Never underestimate the power of natural beauty. Emphasis on your best features can be even more gorgeous than a bold lip, strong contour and faux lashes. You’re beautiful so let the world the see it!

Hair of the Week: Ciara’s Voluminous Waves Announcing BBMAs!

Ciara’s hair this week made us want to get up and one, two step! Her tresses looked like they belonged in the grand state of Texas where everything is bigger. Ciara’s gorgeous voluminous waves spotted in NYC was quite fitting for the humongous news she had in her possession for this year’s BBMAs!

The BBMAs better known as the Billboard Music Awards are fast approaching in order to honor the best of the best in music. Ciara was on hand with hip hop artist Ludacris in New York City to announce this year’s nominees. However, the announcement would not be the only time we see this dynamic duo together in 2016. Ciara and Ludacris will be the hosts of the 2016 BBMAs next month!

This will not be Ludacris’ first stab at hosting one of the year’s hottest musical events. Like the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls Ludacris will 3-peat this year. So then, let us give a quick round of applause to Luda for scoring yet another hosting spot on the BBMAs.

Luda and CiCi make a great pairing for the show. They already have a smash hit under their belts due to working together. If the song Ride It came to mind go ahead and brush your shoulder off. You sir/ma’am are a music “G.”

Before this post closes let’s get back to that hair! Ciara scores our Hair of the Week award due to sheer volume alone. For weeks Ciara has rocked braids, updos and mostly very loose hanging waves. However, CiCi changed up her hair game by letting out her inner diva. She is serving us Diana Ross glamour. Moreover, the deep middle part gives her locks even more sleek attitude. We love it and hope to see more of it.

Like many places, Instagram is not always the fun, pleasant locale for entertainment. In a world of views, comments, likes and dislikes many Igers feel free to say and express themselves in any way they desire. Even at the expense of hurting other’s feelings. Makeup connoisseur Jenae Toney aka Sassy J has experienced both sides of the Instagram coin. Basically, the good, the bad and the oh so ugly.

Sassy J is known for her dramatic beauty transformations and amazing makeup insider tips. Nevertheless, despite all of her gorgeous beauty contributions some have chosen to treat Sassy J quite cruelly. Everything from verbal insults to rumors as to her condition have all been spread due to the release of her before and after photos. Jenae is a very confident woman who will not to let any Instagram beauty shaming get the best of her. With one post Sassy J shutdown every single shamer for good! She stated,

“People spend a great deal of time assuming the worst when it’s not even as bad as people make it seem. Just to clarify I DO NOT have Alopecia, but what I do HAVE is ECZEMA which I suffered from growing up and even had it on my face quite bad to the point of not having brows. So there’s the TRUTH. Some of you have said such cruel things about me, some even said I have some type of cancer when I don’t. There’s things I can’t help and having brows is one of them.

I don’t want to get them tattooed either and I PREFER to draw them on, it’s a SELF PREFERENCE and I wish more people would respect that. With all the mean comments I get on my before/afters you’d think I’d fold under the pressure but I don’t. I’ve used it to my advantage and have used my Instagram platform for good and positivity.

While I always get bashed for simply being true to myself, some of you be so quick to praise the fake and that’s ok. But no matter [how] much negativity I get, I take the positivity and use that to allow me to flourish and continue to do what I do. I’m my OWN TYPE OF BEAUTY, I’m no IG BEAUTY and I’m happy that I’m not. No, that does not make me better because I believe we are all equals but know I do ME and that’s how it will ALWAYS BE.”

Very well said Sassy J! Jenae Toney is an inspiration to all girls and women who have ever endured negativity on any social media platform. Jenae has made the decision to be the beautiful, confident being that she is regardless of what others may perceive or think about her. A very wise, classy and sophisticated move. As she mentioned we are all equals so there is really no reason to put each other down. Instead lets embrace the beauty and talents that we all possess and be possitive. Life is short and misery loves company and who really wants to sit a table with people like that?

We are living in a time where more and more people want variety and diversity. However, in the fashion realm at times shape, size and even height can dictate which trends will fit a girl’s style for a particular season. Nevertheless, we have noted several trends that transcend style “limitations.” Here are 3 easy spring trends that every girl can rock!

Spring Trends #1– Once You Go White… : White couture is an excellent tint for spring and is versatile. The light and airy tint works for day and nighttime looks. Moreover, it can look causal (slacks/maxi dress) or sexy and sophisticated (jumpsuits/tailored jacket/cut-out dress). Moreover, did we mention that white looks amazing on us melanin girls? So go ahead and give this trend shade a try, you might not want to go back to anything else.

Spring Trends #2– Throw Lots of Shade: Pretend that you are a cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta and get to throwing some shade! Okay, we are not referring to verbal shade, we mean the shades known better as sunglasses. This season is all about going big or going home when it comes to sunnies. So do not be afraid to opt for a pair of frames that are a little larger than you would normally wear.

Spring Trends #3 Go Nude: We have to stress we are talking about nail color in this sense (LOL). You will love this nail polish tint because it will easily go with your spring and summer fashions seamlessly due to be a neutral color. Moreover, the right nude nail product will look like you went and got a mani. Can you say, “OMG I’m going to save a few bucks?!” Nevertheless, if clashing nail color is a style fear of yours, then take out the guesswork and go grab yourself a pretty nude nail polish.

Halle Berry Slays MTV Movie Awards 2016 in LBD

When it comes to style Halle Berry can do no wrong! Halle recently broke social media by starting a personal twitter and Instagram account. Fans loved her aesthetic for the gram, but kept requesting that Berry show her lovely face instead of just nature shots. This past Saturday Halle Berry definitely gave the people what they wanted and then some. The insanely beautiful actress decided to shut down the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards 2016 in a sexy LBD (little black dress). Halle Berry looked absolutely fabulous in a Noam Hanoch dress with jewels (rings) by Sylva and Cie. The cut-out and lace details highlighted Berry’s killer bod and shape.

Black was definitely a trend at the MTV Movie Awards 2016. Several other actresses and models wore the classic tint as well. We spotted Nischelle Turner in a black Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit accessorized with shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Halle Berry wasn’t the only one looking good and feeling good at the MTV Movie Awards 2016 ceremony. Queen Latifah, Will Smith (sons Trey and Jaden too), The Rock, Tyrese Gibson and Kevin Hart were all having good times. Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson were on hosting duty for the show. While Queen Latifah and Halle Berry presented Will Smith with the Generation award. Smith was honored for his outstanding television and film career as well as activism for diversity in Hollywood.

Hair Notes: As of late, Berry has had several spottings without her signature crop cut. Although we absolutely love her with next to no hair, we are loving her blonde highlighted tresses right now! The color and length is a refreshing look for Halle.

2016 MTV Movie Awards: Kat Graham Dolce Gabbana Throwback

Beauty Kat Graham attended the 2016 MTV Movie Awards in a form fitting vintage design. Well… that is if you consider 13 years long enough for fashion to be considered “retro.” Graham rocked a gorgeous Dolce and Gabbana dress that was apart of the DG Spring 2003 collection.

One of the biggest fears of any fashionable woman is showing up somewhere and seeing some other chick wearing the same exact look as you. Kat kind of had the same moment this past weekend at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards. If time travel was real or possible we could of boarded a machine and went back to the year 2003 and find Queen Bey wearing the same DG dress! Beyonce wore the sexy number for the recording of a show at Dave Letterman. Actually, that far back Bey wasn’t even Queen Bey and even more so Mr. Letterman isn’t even on TV anymore; so most likely, some may be reading this like who in the world is Dave?! Yeah, girls that’s just how far back we just went.

Let’s move things back forward then, shall we? We think both ladies definitely had the physiques to pull off the Dolce and Gabbana gown, however, we think Kat’s overall ensemble was put together a tad better. Instead of black accessories like Bey, Kat went for more neutral designs. Graham polished off her 2016 MTV Movie Awards look with Casadeio sandals, jewelry from Sethi couture, Levian and Rachel Katz as well as an Oroton clutch. For this particular dress we prefer less is more, but let’s still give credit where credit is due dolls. Beyonce still was setting the trends back in the day that would still be just as posh today.

For this spring season his couture is all about “Cali Cool.” To showcase his Michael Kors Spring 2016 chic garments he enlisted the talents of stunning model Malaika Firth. Firth along with supermodel, Lily Aldridge, star in the Michael Kors Spring 2016 Endless Sundays ad campaign.

Los Angeles style is not as glitzy as New York, demure as Paris or sassy as Miami. Nevertheless, it is all about being effortless and relaxed. We have no real seasons out here and the weather usually includes plenty of sun. Your laid back Sunday attire could very well be our daily uniform. However, it still takes fashion intuition to look like you didn’t do much to look amazing. California fashion is truly the epitome of the expression, “I woke up like this.” Maybe that’s why our style vibe is just so cool.

Moreover, we love our dresses, skirts, sandals and shades out here.
