Fine hair is often described as silky or baby soft. It has a beautiful, touchable texture. Fine hair is usually confused with thin hair. Fine hair can be sparse or abundant, but what makes hair fine is the diameter of each hair strand. It is smaller than average hair. Because of it’s delicate texture, it is prone to breakage and has a tendency to fall flat.

Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced sad, lifeless hair. Now, raise your other hand if you’ve ever tried to fight said limp hair with volumizers that promise sexy hair, only to end up with a sticky, goopy mess. OK, you can put your hand down now.

Well, with proper care, the right haircut, products and style, you’ll be able to make your gorgeous angelic mane look its best! However, there are loads of volumizing products out there that claim to be the fastest path to big, gorgeous, sexy hair. Here’s my favorite.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray

$28
Why I like it:
Not only does this thickening spray give “fantastic fullness,” it also “protects your hair from heat styling.” The product is a little on the pricey side, but a little goes a long way.
